1. Safe, Caring, Inclusive School Survey (SCIS) due by May 31^st.

The SCIS survey for Parents/Guardians can be accessed through the Waterloo Region District School

Board website at:  www.wrdsb.on.ca or via a link posted on the school’s website at smi.wrdsb.ca .

We appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey.

2.  Our Jump Rope for Heart Day will be on Thursday, May 21^st. Rain date is Friday, May 22^nd. Pledge

Pledge Forms are due to the school by Thursday, May 21^st.  Help support the Heart and Stroke

Foundation.

3. Our Smithson School Junior Track and Field Meet will be on Wednesday, May 27^th; Rain date is

Thursday, May 28^th.

4. Friday, May 29^th is a PD Day. No school for students on this date.
5. Extended Day Programs

      The Waterloo Region District School Board is pleased to confirm that Smithson P.S. will be offering

The Extended Day Program for JK to Grade Two students during the 2015-2016 school year.

Families who have not pre-registered through “OneList Waterloo Region” and wish to have childcare

during the 2015-2015 school year, please log into http://wrdsb.ca/beforeafter to pre-register for the

program.

There was a correction sent out in regard to the Youth Development Program, for students in Grade

Three to Six.   The Waterloo Region District School Board regrets to inform you that the Youth

Development Program will not be operating at Smithson P.S. in the 2015-2016 due to insufficient

Pre-registrations.
