Weekly Update – September 29, 2016
1. Our school fundraiser – “Santa’s Little Helpers” – came home earlier this week. This campaign will help support a number of school initiatives including technology allocations, playground improvements and math learning tools and manipulatives. All orders need to be returned by no later than Wed. Oct. 12th. Cheques are made payable to Smithson PS. Thank you in advance for your support!

2. We need volunteers to help with pizza on Wednesdays at 12:45! If you can help, please contact the school’s main office at 519-578-3890.

3. Save the date! School Council’s Fall Fun Fair is set for October 28th from 5-8pm. We hope you can join us! More details to follow soon.

4. The University of Waterloo offers math “Problem of the Week” questions for students in grades 3 and above. If you are looking for opportunities to discuss math at home, this might be a good fit! A new problem is uploaded each week along with the previous week’s solution.
