- Friendship Lunch-A Resort Vacation-Thursday March 12th
Students will enjoy a popsicle at the break, lunch will be a Hot Dog, Caesar salad or potato salad and
Potato chips. Dress in your summertime gear and celebrate the start of March Break.
Cost is $5.50 and all orders are due by Friday, March 6th.
2 Grade 1-3 students will be going to Rockway Mennonite Collegiate on Thursday, March 5th for a
production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. Please give permission for this trip and submit the
$5.00 trip fee on School-Day, if you have not yet done so.
3. Please make every attempt to make after school arrangements with your child(ren) before they come
to school each day. In the busyness of the school day it is not always possible to get messages to
the classroom and to your child before the end of the day. While we certainly understand that
unforeseen circumstances can arise, wherever possible, please communicate non-emergency
instructions with your child before they come to school.
4. Thank you to those that completed the online survey in regard to the Art Innovators program. After
considering those results and in consultation with School Council, we have decided that we will not
offer the Art Innovators program or Mad Science at Smithson Public School this school year. This
may be reconsidered next year.
5. Please be reminded that the driveway at the front of our school is to be used for school buses only
for loading and unloading of students. We ask that in the interest of student and bus duty staff
safety, that you do not use the Belleview Avenue entrance to our school to drop your children off.
You may enter our school parking lot from the Smithson Street entrance. Thank you for your
attention to this matter.
