Please avoid booking appointments or scheduling any activities that would prevent your child from

being in attendance at school during EQAO testing dates.

2.  Safe, Caring, Inclusive School Survey (SCIS) due by May 31st.

The SCIS survey for Parents/Guardians can be accessed through the Waterloo Region District School

Board website at:  www.wrdsb.on.ca or via a link posted on the school’s website at smi.wrdsb.ca .

3.  Congratulations to The Kodaly Choir who performed at Centre in the Square on Tuesday evening.

This multi voice choir did a wonderful job singing many beautiful songs.  Thank you to our Smithson

students for all of their hard work preparing for this event,  as well as to Mr. Bergen and Mrs. Scott

for their work with leading this wonderful choir.

  1. We held our Jump Rope for Heart Kick Off Assembly this week. Students have taken home pledge

forms for families that wish to participate in raising money for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.  The

Jump Rope Date will be on Thursday, May 21st.  Rain date is Friday, May 22nd. Pledge forms are due

In to the school on Thursday, May 21st.

  1. Smithson School Junior Track and Field Meet will be on Wednesday, May 27th; Rain date is Thursday,

May 28th.

These special lunches are delivered every Friday.
