• Join us tonight for our School council Meeting at 6:30 in the library-all welcome!
• Our School Improvement Plan for the 2013/14 school year will focus on effective feedback. We will be doing much collaborating as a staff around this work as we meet in teams. Looking forward to dialoguing with our great Smithson staff about this. This is in line with our Board Improvment Plan for Student Achievement (BIPSA) -check it out on line at www.wrdsb.on.ca. It’s a great interactive tool.
• As we approach the mid-point in first term, teachers of Grades 1 to 6 have begun the process of writing progress reports. These reports will be sent home on Monday, November 4^th.
• ^{This year there is no P.D. day set aside for parent-teacher interviews. Teachers will be arranging their own interviews, either before or after school, on an individual basis. Please watch for communication from your child’s teacher.}
• Fall fun Fair this Friday-October 25th-don’t miss this wonderful Smithson Tradition-5-8 p.m. Advanced Tickets can be purchased on School Day at http://www.school-day.com/Fall  Fun Fair is in need of cakes for the cake walk, raffle prizes, bags of ice, and volunteers to run games-contact Jess Peer at blondiesjess18@hotmail.com
