We’re Celebrating! PJ Day, Popcorn & a Movie on Friday, Oct. 16th
It has been a fantastic start to our in-class school year, and our students (and staff) have shown what a flexible and resilient bunch they are. So what better way to celebrate this awesome first month of school than by having a PJ day, watching a movie during the second half of the day, and enjoying some popcorn on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16TH!
To help offset the cost of the popcorn, which will be pre-packaged popcorn from Kernels that meets school nutritional guidelines, we are asking parents to pay, if they can, $5. This will help offset costs for our student’s popcorn for this event and any possible future events, and for those students who’s parents are unable to pay. You may choose to purchase more than one “popcorn product” (so pay $5, $10, $15, etc.) if you would like. All money collected will go into our School Funds to help offset future costs for school-wide events such as this.
Please note: ALL students who want to popcorn will receive some, regardless of whether or not their adult has purchased it through School Day.
If your child cannot have popcorn due to allergies or food sensitivities/restrictions, please consider sending in an alternative for them so they don’t feel left out, and let your child’s teacher know so that we can look at possible alternatives for future events.
To purchase POPCORN – please go to the Products Tab in School Day. NO CASH IS BEING COLLECTED by schools at this time.
Thank you to our awesome parent community for your ongoing support for our staff, Smithson PS and of your child(ren) as well!
